Postponement of National Team Chess Championship 2024-25

The National Team Chess Championship 2024-25 has been postponed at the request of the organizers. The new dates and updated event regulations will be announced shortly.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and request everyone to take note of the schedule change.

National Team Chess Championship 2024-2025 has been rescheduled from 5-11 March, will be held at Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

4. ELIGIBILITY:
(a) Each affiliated state association can send a maximum of three teams only (one regular entry + 2 special entries) by suffixing the letters “A”, “B” and “C” with their state name. Institution members of AICF shall be entitled to send two teams for each championship by suffixing the letters “A” (regular entry) & “B” (special entry).
(b) The host All Odisha Chess Association is entitled to fill one additional team in each championship.
(c) In case of an odd number of entries, the host has the right to add one more entry to make it even in both categories.
(d) Only Indian nationals are eligible to participate in the championships. (e) No teams will be allowed to play in Club/Academy/district names.
5. COMPOSITION OF THE TEAM:
Each team (men & women) shall consist of four players and one reserve player. The seeding of the teams will be done based on the average rating of the best 4 players. While sending entries, the names of all the players with their FIDE ID and their respective FIDE ratings, if any, should be given to enable the arbiters to arrive at the teams’ average rating for seeding purposes. These names and ratings should be reconfirmed in person at the Technical Meeting. The Fixed Board Order should be decided by the respective team Captain/Manager before/at the technical meeting.

6. DRESS CODE:
As per AICF regulations on dress code for players participating in all the national championships, all state associations/institution members should send their players with proper uniforms. Players should at least wear uniform T-shirts/formal shirts (name of the state/institution printed prominently at the back and the state chess/institution emblem on the front left side). Players without proper uniforms will not be permitted to take part in the championship. This will be strictly enforced.

9. STANDINGS AND TIE BREAK:
According to the latest tiebreak regulations effective from 1st August 2024, Berlin
system is no more used and it has been removed from the tiebreaks. The four tiebreaks
mentioned in the regulations for team events are:
1) Match Points (default as the primary score)
2) Direct Encounter using Match Points
3) Game Points (applying Unplayed Round Management)
4) Sonneborn Berger EMGSB (applying Unplayed Round Management)
5) Scores and Scheduled Strength Combination (SSSC)

18. ENTRIES AND ENTRY FEES:
Regular entry: Rs.4,000/- (Rupees four thousand Only)
Special entry: Rs.6,500/- (Rupees six thousand five hundred Only)
Pay the entry from following link https://prs.aicf.in/pay. Soon after the payment share the payment proof and entry registration (excel) to aicfnationalentries@gmail.com.
There will be a 50% concession for participants of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and North Eastern States.
All entries including special entries should come through the concerned state chess association/ institutional members of AICF. However, AICF will have the right to accept or reject any entry without assigning any reason.
