Further down the standings, Mishra Manish scored 6½ points, ranked 141st and recorded +16. The Open group’s recorded rating changes totalled +10.

The Takeaway: Scores and Rating Changes Tell Different Stories

Across both events, eight of Odisha’s 15 listed players recorded rating gains and seven recorded decreases, producing a combined net change of +103. Swastik’s +123 and Nainika’s +98 were the largest individual gains. The results also show why scores and rating movements should be read together: identical point totals did not always produce the same rating outcome. Sattwik and Ayushman each scored 7½ points but recorded +27 and −18 respectively; Preetika and Saradha each scored 5½ points but recorded −4 and +22. Odisha’s campaign therefore combined notable leading scores with varied rating outcomes across the contingent.
