India’s Young Stars Set for Battle in Montenegro : Swayangsu Satyapragyan is the Head of Delegation

The prestigious World Junior Chess Championship 2025 is set to take place from February 23 to March 8 in Petrovac, Montenegro, with India fielding a formidable contingent in both the Open and Girls sections. IM Swayangsu Satyapragyan, Administrator of Prochessta, Department of Sports & Youth Services, Govt. of Odisha, has been appointed as the Head of Delegation cum Manager for the Indian team.

In the Open section, India will be represented by 12 talented boys, with GM G Pranav (2615) leading the charge as the second seed. Meanwhile, in the Girls’ section, WGM Rakshita Ravi (2365) will spearhead India’s campaign as the 4th seed aiming for top honors on the global stage.
